Though the season is young, our athletes are working hard as ever. Here's a quick update from Granite Chief Scholarship Athlete Cheyenne Brown.

cheyenne1We are a few weeks into the 2015-2016 ski season, and the first races are starting to happen! I have been working hard on and off the snow getting ready for the season to come. The days are long and full of skiing and working out in the gym, but I know it will pay off! The fresh snow at Squaw Valley has helped the team get on new terrain and hills to get us prepared for the races to come.

The first race was a slalom over at Heavenly Mountain Resort. I finished 8th! This weekend I will be traveling to Mammoth Mountain to race in a GS, I plan on doing very well, as I have had a “breakthrough” with my skiing!

Thanks to all the help from Granite Chief with my equipment I am having a great start to the season, with much more to come!
